Solution architecture
Every NC-Solutions product consists of two components working together: the NCS-AddOn inside SAP Business One and the NCS-Webservice running as a background service. NCS-IMMO is a module within the NCS-AddOn – not a separate program.
The two components
| Component | What it is | Where it runs |
|---|---|---|
| NCS-AddOn | SAP Business One add-on (NCSAddon.exe) – the entire user interface: menus, forms, validations, user actions | On the client, embedded in the SAP Business One client |
| NCS-Webservice | Windows service – background processing: schedules, bulk operations, interfaces, SOAP/REST endpoints | On a server, independent of any logged-on user |
Why two components?
The add-on can only work while a user is logged on. Everything that has to run scheduled or unattended – fetching emails, bulk imports, handovers to third party systems – is therefore handled by the NCS-Webservice.
Modular structure
The NCS-AddOn is the general framework that contains all solutions. The individual products are modules inside it:
- ECM-Connect – DocuWare integration
- NCS-EDI – electronic data interchange
- NCS-CostControl – cost control
- NCS-DATEV – documents and postings to DATEV
- NCS-IMMO – real estate management (this manual)
- NCS-DAKOSY – customs and foreign trade
Each module contributes its business logic, while the forms and user interface come from the NCS-AddOn. All modules ship in a single program file and are unlocked at runtime through licence keys – you always install the same add-on and receive exactly the modules that are licensed.

Data flow, using NCS-IMMO as an example
- A user works on a document in SAP Business One.
- The NCS-AddOn provides the functions – maintain properties, units and tenancies and manage contracts.
- The NCS-Webservice handles the recurring work: creating scheduled charges, triggering postings and preparing settlement runs.
- All figures flow into SAP Business One financials and are available for reporting there.
What this means for installation
A complete installation always covers both components:
- the NCS-AddOn on the workstations, via the SAP add-on administration,
- the NCS-Webservice once, on a server.
Which setup packages exist and what they do is described under Setup packages.
